Alabama Animal Alliance
The mission of the Alabama Animal Alliance is to significantly reduce the overpopulation of dogs and cats in Alabama through prevention, education, and collaboration.
The Alliance collaborates with veterinarians, animal shelters, rescue groups, and residents to provide high quality, high volume, low cost spay and neuter surgeries for companion animals.  We educate the public on the importance of preventing unwanted pets.

Humane Society of West Alabama
The Humane Society of West Alabama (HSWA), founded in 1971, is a no-kill, all-volunteer, nonprofit organization. HSWA has no administrative costs, so most of their funds are spent on direct aid for the dogs and cats in their care. They receive no money from any governmental agency or national humane organization, and are therefore totally dependent on donations and fundraisers to continue their work.
In March 2019, HSWA joined the Best Friends Partner Network. Best Friends is a nation-wide organization that is "committed to saving the lives of homeless pets through collaboration and implementation of effective adoption, spay/neuter and intake prevention programs." HSWA is committed to partnering with Best Friends in their mission to make America no-kill by 2025.
