What is TSNIP?
TSNIP is a non-profit program that relies on trap/neuter/release volunteers, community donations, and grants from Tuscaloosa County and local cities. In a nutshell, TSNIP provides traps for humane live capture of feral cats, volunteer trapper training, and spay/neuter surgery appointments and rabies vaccines for feral cats in local colonies with the goal of stabilizing these populations and preventing population growth. This is done through a process of Trap/Neuter/Release (TNR) in which cats are caught, spayed or neutered, and then returned to their original location to continue living in the colony.
If you are interested in volunteering or feeding local colonies, please visit our Volunteer webpage.
